Light-shielding HIPS plastic sheet roll (high impact polystyrene) is an opaque plastic sheet modified by adding light-shielding agents (such as carbon black, titanium dioxide, etc.). It has high rigidity, impact resistance and excellent light-shielding properties. It is widely used in industrial and commercial fields that require light protection, impact resistance or printing processing.

FAQ
What is the difference between light-shielding HIPS and ordinary HIPS?
Light-shielding HIPS has added light-shielding agents (such as TiO₂ or carbon black) and is opaque; ordinary HIPS is translucent/transparent.
Is it resistant to high temperatures?
Working temperature range: -20℃~70℃; it may deform if it exceeds 80℃ (need to use heat-resistant ABS or PC instead).
How to cut and process?
Laser cutting (smooth edges) or CNC stamping are recommended; hook knife can be used for manual work, but be careful of burrs.
Is it environmentally friendly?
It can be recycled, but incineration may produce styrene gas, so it is recommended that professional institutions handle it.
Can it be used for food packaging?
FDA-certified models must be selected to avoid sunscreen migration pollution.
