Case Background
With the rapid development of electronic products, the market demand for high-performance packaging materials is increasing, especially in the protection of sensitive electronic parts. A Thai electronics manufacturer needs a packaging material with conductive function for its newly launched high-end electronic products to prevent electrostatic damage and ensure safety during transportation. Therefore, the customer decided to choose conductive PET sheet to thermoform the electronic component assembly tray to meet its high standard packaging needs.
Project Challenges
In this project, we faced several challenges:
Electrostatic protection: Electronic parts are extremely sensitive to static electricity, and any tiny electrostatic discharge may cause damage to the parts. Therefore, the conductive PET sheet must have excellent conductive properties to effectively prevent static electricity accumulation.
Material Formability: The tray required by the customer has a complex shape and precise size. Therefore, the conductive PET sheet not only needs to have good thermoforming performance, but also needs to maintain stable physical dimensions after forming.
Environmental compatibility: The tray of electronic component assemblies needs to be used in a variety of environments, including high temperature and high humidity. Therefore, the conductive PET sheets must have good temperature resistance and moisture resistance to ensure the long-term reliability of the material.
Introduction to Conductive PET Sheet
Conductive PET sheet is a new type of material made by adding conductive materials or conducting conductive coating on the surface of ordinary PET sheet.
