Material appearance is another purchasing consideration. Heat-resistant PP sheet can be supplied in natural, white, black and customized colors according to the project. The selected color should be evaluated together with the required material performance.
When customers replace an existing PP sheet supplier, we recommend comparing formed samples rather than matching color and nominal thickness alone. Two PP sheets with similar appearance can behave differently during thermoforming.

We prefer to review the existing sheet specification together with the formed sample. This helps determine whether a different gauge or PP grade should be evaluated.

04 Heat Resistance Under Actual Food Conditions
Heat-resistant PP is selected for hot-food packaging, but the intended service conditions must still be confirmed. Freshly cooked food, warm holding and microwave reheating involve different temperature and exposure requirements.
Buyers should specify the approximate food temperature, expected contact duration and whether reheating is required. These details help us evaluate the appropriate PP sheet grade.
Microwave suitability should not be assumed from the material name alone. Where microwave reheating is required, the complete finished packaging should be validated for the intended conditions.

06 Sample Approval and Stable Bulk Supply
Before placing a repeat order, we recommend testing the selected PP sheet under the customer’s normal thermoforming conditions. The formed sample should be evaluated for appearance, rigidity, thickness distribution and performance under the intended hot-food conditions.
For a new project, send us the takeaway box drawing or an existing formed sample. If the project is already in production, the current sheet thickness, roll width and material grade provide a useful starting point.
Once the material is approved, confirming the agreed roll specifications, tolerance requirements and packing method helps support consistent repeat supply.
